Boasting a bar and views of lake, Rivalago B&B is a recently renovated bed and breakfast set in Cannobio, 18 km from Piazza Grande Locarno. The B&B, Rivalago is located on the waterfront and a moderate distance from the ferry embarcadero which I only used to arrive and depart. My room was spacious and comfortable with excellent cleaning service and a fabulous view of the lake. The B&B is in a quiet location and a short walk to the restaurants along the embarcadero. I chose Cannobio because it was considerded the prettiest town on the lake although not the most convenient for seeing gardens and palazzi. Those were easily reached by regular bus service, or boat. Gaia was very helpful in determining my connections and printing schedules for me. Commuting to the gardens was a breeze! The breakfast was fresh and varied, with more selection than I would ever have at home, which was a real treat! Both Matteo and Gaia were always available to answer questions and assist with whatever I needed. Matteo even found the program I wanted on Netflix and set it to English for me. Thank you both for making my stay so special.

Al San Michele features rooms in Stresa. This guest house offers luggage storage space and free WiFi. Everything is just wonderful in this lovely house. It's super cozy, clean and bright. Location is more than perfect just across the lake and the ferry stop and 5 mins from city center as well. The stuff is extremely kind and welcoming. Would definitely go there again. Located in Cannobio, in a historic building, 14 km from Piazza Grande Locarno, Ca Meison is a recently renovated bed and breakfast with a private beach area and free bikes. Everything was prefect. The house, the breakfast, the location, Francesca and her Mom were outstanding and nothing was too much to ask.

Providing garden views, B&B Il Poggiolo in Stresa provides accommodation and a garden. The property was built in 1900, and features air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi. quiet and great view on the Lago Maggiore- very kind hosts!

Offering a shared lounge, B&B VILLA PREZIOSA LAGO MAGGIORE features accommodation in Lesa. With lake views, this accommodation offers a patio. Excellent place, comfortable and newly renovated room, perfectly clean. Breakfast was delicious. Very quiet place, just a 10 minutes walk to the city center and the train station. Recommended!!!

Boasting a terrace and views of mountain, Casa Castagna 1620 is a bed and breakfast set in a historic building in Mergozzo, 49 km from Piazza Grande Locarno. This hotel is a true jewel at the lake Mergozzo. The owners are present daily, at least in the evening. Everybody has been very friendly and helpful, from arrival to departure. Parking is available nearby (5 minutes walk), loading and unloading of baggage is possible in front of the hotel. The entire building (which has been orginally erected in 1620, hence the name) has been fully refurbished until one year ago and is maintained in perfect condition. A minor problem with the shower drain in our room has been fixed within a few hours. Our small dog was welcome as well and felt at home immediately. The food is very tasty, the champagne list (!) runs more than ten pages, followed by a very impressive wine list. This is a place for enthusiasts. If you want to have a meal at other places, there are many opportunities in close walking distance. We have had a wonderful week at Casa Castagna 1620 and will definitely come back. Set in the pedestrian zone at the historical centre of Cannobio, 21 km from Lugano, Antico Borgo B&B offers a shared lounge and free WiFi. The room was very beautiful, clean and it smells very good and no noises. Francisco and Chiara were very friendly. Also good choice of food for breakfast and we can sit outside. I totally recommend this b&b.

DIMORA SCURONE in Cannobio provides adults-only accommodation with a garden and a bar. The property features quiet street views, and is 18 km from Golfclub Patriziale Ascona. Wonderful location, we loved the hotel and the family who run the hotel were wonderful and friendly! The breakfast was AMAZING!

Paikan omistaja Orsetta valmisti joka aamu ennalta sovittuun aikaan monipuolisen aamiaisen, joka sisälsi mm. itsetehtyjä leivonnaisia, leipiä ja hilloja. Aamiaishuoneesta oli kaunis näköala järvelle, kuten myös huoneesta, jossa majoituimme. Saimme Orsetalta erittäin hyviä vinkkejä mielenkiintoisista paikoista, joissa kannatti myös käydä.

Featuring a garden, Cascina Canée is located in Angera in the Lombardy region, 38 km from Monastero di Torba and 44 km from Mendrisio Station. We enjoyed a fantastic 4 days ,we could not have been made more welcome and Fabio & Chi Chi we’re amazing hosts. Food was amazing drinks great value and their knowledge of the area and what to do exemplary.The accommodation was beautiful and well appointed.
