When I arrived at this property, it was under construction and the owner has a second hotel in which I stayed.
Welcome therefore was a bit disjointed, but at the new hotel I stayed at which was 600 m away. The staff are friendly.
The hotel was well equipped with nice rooms, and a great ambience the food was good and served in a buffet style.
I’ve given them a rating of eight overall, because of the obvious need to relocate because of the construction works that were taking place. However the hotel I stayed in I will give it 10 to.

Great locataion, very good caring staff, amazing food well mainatined camp compared to other camps. I have visited and stayed in 4 camps around Mhamid and Erg Lihoudi. This camp was the best so far.

The auberge is kind of wonderful hideaway. Very quiet, with simple, but very clean and cute rooms.
The food was amazing ( ate my best Tajine of our whole marrocan trip, breakfast delicous and rich). The two guys who run the auberge do an excellent cooking.
Also booked a private tour to the desert, which for me turned out to be perfekt: away from the big camps, alone under a quiet sahara sky and my guide Mohamed played the guitar after a tasty meal at the camp fire... Although we couldn't quite communicate in a common language we had a funny time.
After sunrise I sat there all alone at the highest dune to listen to the silence of the desert.
Couldn't have been better.

A busy village with normal Moroccan/Desert life and passing tourists.
Only a few tourists stay overnight. Limited number of restaurants. People are very friendly and welcoming.
The whole village can be walked in 40 minutes. We had food at AZWAD which was nice.
The tourist shops are typical of Morocco but not too pushy.

This small town is the entrance to the Sahara desert, so it’s an advantage for those who come for the trekking or the desert tours. The disadvantage is the sandstorm that hits directly the houses and streets of the town.
Nevertheless the people in the town are cheerful and friendly, they welcome the visitors with lovely smile
The town is rather new to the local people, a few km away from the town, the vast oasis spread in which embraces several Ksars with ancient earth and cray buildings. One can explore those ksars, meet the people in the communities, that is a precious experience apart from the camel rides or trekking in the desert.

M'Hamid is the perfect gateway to the Sahara Desert.
M'Hamid is the perfect gateway to the Sahara Desert. The village exudes a peaceful atmosphere, and the locals are incredibly welcoming. We used M'Hamid as our starting point for an unforgettable desert adventure. The camel trek into the dunes and the night under the starry sky were simply magical. M'Hamid is a hidden gem worth exploring!

Perfect place to start your trip into the Sahara desert.
Perfect place to start your trip into the Sahara desert. We went to the Chegaga dunes, 60 km by 4x4 on dirt tracks. There are several bedouin camps you can book for an unforgettable overnight stay. We booked with Chegaga berber camp. We highly recommend them.
The return trip was 90€ (900 dirham) and well worth it.

Very nice and calm village with simple people.
Very nice and calm village with simple people. Village is big oasis what makes it very beautiful with river Draa, kasbahs and palms. There are many shops, beautiful mosque and the desert around, from where you can start your track.
Mhamid you can look by your feet. But for go to desert better take a camel. You can take 4#4 but this will not give you feeling like you are Bedouin one :-).

100% the best place to stay in Mhamid. For this amazingly low price you get better service than some of the fancy places in Marrakesh. The team is very kind, the cooking is delicious and the air conditioning much appreciated. But my biggest recommendation is - ask them to organize the trip to the desert and camp for you. Our guide Hamza was truly amazing, thanks to him we got much more than most advertised tours offer for less money. If I were you I would do the full service with the oasis lunch and the camp.
This is a great little find 10 mins walk south of Mhamid. The location is great. Away from the noise and dust of the town and set in a beautiful garden. Hamza was a super nice guy who made us a good breakfast even though we were past the breakfast time. It's a great place for people who want a bit of peace and quiet or for a big group as you can hang out in the gardens or rooftops of the place. Hot showers, a nice communal room upstairs. We couldn't believe we were the only people staying here.
I would recommend this camp to everyone. The tents are very nice, they have their own toilet and shower. It was very luxurious. Furthermore the service was great. We were picked up from cafe le petit prince en dropped off the next day. You can book severel things via the camp like a camel and 4x4tour to erg chegaga desert. In the evening we got a delicious dinner and enjoyed traditional Moroccon music by the campfire. 10/10 would recommend
I loved every moment spent in this Sahara luxury Camp camp. The desert deserves more than one night. You have to feel time pass like sand between your fingers. The welcome is worthy of Morocco's reputation for hospitality and the food is sublime and generous. At night the drums resound in the night around the campfire. A once in a lifetime experience. (I laugh..in fact to live several times). See you soon Saïd and his team
"Our family embarked on a journey through Morocco, and the M'Hamid Camp undoubtedly stood out as the absolute highlight of our adventure. The service was exceptional, and the accommodations were simply breathtaking. Hakim's personal touch made us feel truly extraordinary. It was such an incredible experience that we're already planning our return to Morocco just to stay at Hakim Camp once again. It was nothing short of AMAZING!"
Everything about our stay with Mohammed was fantastic, surpassing every expectation. the camp was ideal. great 2 hour off-road driving to get there. Mohammed was a great guide with excellent English and a great sense of humour and was a great host. some of the best food we’ve had in Morocco was in the camp and even out in the desert! excellent camel trekking in the dunes. 1000% recommended. thanks again Mohammed!
We had a wonderful stay with Younes. He has been a super friendly but not intrusive host who made us have an unforgettable stay.
You don't need a camel tour, quad biking and no frills? Then you can enjoy a beautiful night with sunset, candlelight dinner, campfire and an unforgettable starlit sky at Berber Camp M'Hamid.
Don't expect it to be a 5-star hotel, everything is kept simple, but very clean.
Tent equipped with all the comforts of a hotel room (except for the power socket).
The service is rather comfortable, with the jeep picking you up directly in the parking lot of a Kasbah with which we have an agreement.
Magical nocturnal silence and breathtaking landscapes.
Food served in the evening good, if not exceptional; interesting the music show in front of the fire after dinner!
Everything beautiful that you can imagine about the desert in Morocco!! The shops, the food, the attention, all 10 points! The dunes are golden, the stars are many more and the dromedaries are docile and tender... A special word for Mohamed, who solves all problems and knows how to speak Argentine, like "cameYo" or "Yuvia"... Don't miss it the memory is forever...
It was really unique experience to spend a night on the desert, it was so quiet and peaceful. We did not expect that food served there will be so amazing! One of the best meals (if not the best) we had during our trip to Morocco.
You don't need 4x4 car to get near the camp, but you will need to drive very slowly and carefully. I would love to visit again.
Great place to stay in the desert and, at the same time, close to Mhamid (15 min walking). The camp is neat, clean and authentic, all ammenities are available (hot water, internet, phone charging point). Huts are warm enough even during winter nights. Staff are welcoming and warm-hearted. Meals prepared by the cook are particularly delicious.
The camp was literally right in front of the sand dunes so we could go watch the sunrise and go sandboarding in steps. The hospitality od Mohamed and Ali are excellent and the sunset camel ride to the dune was unforgettable. Last but least, the tagine and the salad at the dinner was the best I have had in Morocco.
It was a amazing experience in desert unforgettable, we went to erg chegaga by 4×4
We arrived the camp before sunset and it was nice view, our tent was so clean , we had a delicious Tajine under the stars , in sunrise we did a camels tour then breakfast and after we come back to mhamid
It was the best day of our stay in morocco. Walking on camels to the camp and seeing the sunset on the dunes is amazing and an unforgettable experience. Afterwards we had the best tajen so far and sat under the stars at a bonfire and listen to our guides playing the drums and singing.
I live in Morocco , I visited many deserts, so I always look for authenticity whenever traveling.
And this is what I found in Larbi’s place. It has been a great experience which will stay in my best memories of Morocco.
Thanks Larbi!
Great hotel. Everything was nice. great service and nice pool. Would definitely recommend Thank you for the friendly staff and Very excellent reception with a cup of Moroccan mint tea
