The Beach, hotel in Bude

With beautiful coastal views and a great beachfront location, The Beach has luxury rooms with stylish décor and free Wi-Fi. It also has a sun terrace and surfboard/bike storage.

We were walking the SW Coastal path and our days walking took us from Hartland Quay to Bude. We were late checking in as the walk was over 16 miles and the staff were so kind when we arrived. They had upgraded our room to ensure we had a bath available. They also kept the restaurant open so we could order a meal. Our room was large, the bathroom was beautiful with a freestanding bath and the bed was super comfy. The breakfast the following morning was delicious and the whole experience, great value for money.

Useful overnight stay but out in the country so we needed to go to Bude for a meal. Helpful owner and fairly quiet at night. Our room was quite cold perhaps not helped by the outside temperature and weather

I have stayed in many hotels all over the world thanks to Booking com. I stayed at An Mor Hotel Bude and was falsely accused of smoking in the room. Apparently they had pictures of tobacco taken by somebody after I left the room. As I am a Non- Smoker and also signed the no smoking form stating as much upon arrival. They accused me of damaging the room due to smoke and tobacco, As I arrived late and was rarely in the room only to sleep, as I was visiting grandchildren who live in Bude, the room was mainly untouched. Upon requesting to speak to a manager there isn’t any. They took €117 out off my bank account and sent me a stiff notice stating tobacco was found in the room and smoke. Although they did outline there are smoke alarms in the rooms. I outlined quite accurately on the phone upon my arrival back home that I am a non smoker and this was false and this tobacco she talks off is not mine. She was adamant that it was. She felt it was enough evidence to take €117 out off my bank account and told Booking.com that I was smoking illegally in the room. I have requested there evidence such as pictures or cctv pictures to be sent to my email Which they have on file.( as a non smoker I feel I’m untitled to do this ) Upon asking for her name she refused point blank to give her details, and was rude in her manner to me although I’m assuming she is representing the An Mor Hotel. Please stay away from An Mor Hotel Bude I had a very bad experience and will never stay there again.

A lovely seaside town. Lots of restaurants, bars cafes. If you like walking there are coastal paths to follow. Great for surfers. Attractive wharf which has a pub, cafes and a bistro called The Olive tree which does really good food. For a really good Sunday lunch The Preston Gate Inn is a must. They have a large family adventure centre with an outdoor adventure playground. There is also a castle which is free to visit it has a cafe with stunning sea views. There are a number of beaches to visit. Varied shops consisting of a mix of both independent traders and well known stores. A great place to stay and north Devon is not far away if you wish to explore.

Bude the town itself is the usual mix of gift shops and cafés, crooklets beach has a very popular dog café, local beaches are clean and water cleanliness is average for the Cornish coast, coastal walks popular and the lock gates in town has it's own little eatery and café culture the Museum is also there.

There is a great beach Summerleaze, which is really near the hotel where you can go on in summer or winter and have a great walk along the coast, or a paddle. There were lots of surfers out there. There are plenty of cafes/restaurants to visit even in autumn/winter Bude is a great central place to stay and easily visit other attractions in Cornwall and Devon - Eden project, Tintagel Castle, Lost Gardens of Heligan - just be aware that the satnav tends to send you down all those very narrow 1 track roads! Only regret was that we didn’t manage to fit in a cream tea

Fabulous beach and swim pool. Great cliff walks.

Fabulous beach and swim pool. Great cliff walks. Walk to town from beach area quite flat but town shops are uphill. There is a river and a canal that run into the sea. A few nice restaurants and a few decent pubs. Plenty of coffee shops and a few takeaways.Falcon hotel and Brendon Arms do good meals.Nice walk along canal side to the beach. Parking by canal and large car park by the beach. Castle by the beach too.

I've been travelling to Bude for the last 42yrs, always try to get there at least once a year. Love this part of the country and the only place I feel totally relaxed and peaceful. Great sandy beaches, the great Bude sea pool, good food to be found in many places. The sea lock leading to the Bude canal offers great walks, leading to nature trails, including bird hides looking over the marshes. Great surfing and also great links golf course.

Excellent location, the room was a bit small but adequately furnished with ensuite bathroom. We had the upper floor with a beautiful sea view to the front of the building. The room was cleaned daily and very well presented. We booked for bed & breakfast, the breakfast was freshly cooked every day with a great choice, made to order. The staff were always friendly and helpful. Hotel is perfectly placed in Summerleaze beach which is just across the road. Great for local activities, walks, short walk into Bude for all local shops and services.

Breakfasts lovely, great choice, the rooms are lovely and comfortable and location is great for accessing everything Bude has to offer. We paid for parking at the Pay and Stay Car Park across the road which was £7 a day, as the restricted park outside the hotel was a little busy. John and Anita were great hosts and nothing was too much trouble for them. John even gave my son a little surfing advice and pointed him in the right direction with regards to board hire. Will hopefully return in the near future. Thank you for taking care of us.

The location was perfectly close to three (Crooklets, Summerleaze and Northcott) of the four beaches that we typically visit when were in Bude. Sandymouth and Widemouth can both be reached on foot for those that like to walk a little further or are a ten minute drive away. Bude town centre and Sainsburys can also be accessed easily on foot or a short drive. The resort was perfectly well kept, clean & warm accommodation. Staff very friendly on arrival, we didn't need them for anything other than check in/check out.

The Beach hotel is a beautiful hotel which has undergone a full renovation. Our bedroom was tiny with sloping ceilings and it was extremely hot with no air circulating...a fan had been left in our room for comfort which was appreciated but it was very hot. The bathroom was large with a fabulous rain shower. Unfortunately the restaurant was not open for dinner...which only affected us as we had walked 25kms on the South West Coast Path that day and were struggling to walk anywhere and desperately needed food.

The location was great. Short walk to the beach or the town. Breakfast was fantastic. All the staff were very friendly. Their bar was the only one in Bude I found that had a craft beer on tap (Shed Head) very nice beer. The room was very spacious and up to date. Shower was fantastic. Not a lot to fault this hotel with apart from being a little expensive but you certainly got what you paid for. Would recommend The Falcon to anyone wanting to visit Bude.

Lovely, family-run hotel. The people were so friendly, I felt welcome from the first moment. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, armchairs cozy and the view amazing. The breakfast menu is large and the food delicious. Also the location is good: Two minute walk to the cliffs with view over the Bude Sea Pool and the ocean and also about two minutes to the town center. Could really not recommend it more!

We have been coming to Bude for the last 40 years, from camping as teenagers to bringing our family for amazing beach holidays. And now we have the luxury staying in this lovely family friendly hotel with added bonus we can bring our dog. The restaurant serves the most amazing but unpretentious food and the staff go out of their way to make us feel welcome and nothing is to much trouble. We love it

Cozy, clean room, 5 minutes walk from the beach and restaurants. The breakfast was excellent. The hosts were accommodating and very helpful. Perfect place to stay for those doing the coastal walks in the region. The bathtub in this room would have been great at the end of a long hike. Unfortunately I started my hike from Bude instead of ending it there.
