Comfortable room, larger than other hotel rooms in The Hague.
Affordable parking.
Really liked the staff working in the hotel. They are always extremely polite, ready to help and smiling day and night.
I really enjoyed finding the "Rituals" products (shower gel, soap and shampoo.) in the bathroom.
Breakfast. I was in a hurry, so I got breakfast to go.
The Strandhotel is a small family hotel directly facing the beach. The cosy dining room with sea view is a wonderful way to start your day with a nice breakfast.

Scheveningen is a suburb of a large city and can be reached by tram. The beach area at the Kurhaus and pier is almost overcrowded with lots of fun sports such as a very high zip wire and Bunjeetower, Ferris wheel. The beach section at the spa house and pier is not recommended for tourists who are spoilt by the island and are looking for a peace and quiet journey.

We liked walking along the beach boardwalk, walking around town, and we did a few tram trips away such as den Hague and Leiden for the Naturalis centre. We walked along the pier and that was sort of interesting; we didn't ride the ferris wheel. Getting around town is easy walking or tram. We had one meal at an Indian restaurant that was not so good. Otherwise, we had groceries and ate in our room. I wouldn't suggest Oct. as it is not beach weather but for sure less tourists.

We loved every moment staying on The Pier.
We loved every moment staying on The Pier. The view was fantastic, the room was clean and comfortable and we loved the special touches such as wine and chocolats wating for us every day, breakfast included and the staff were extremely helpful. The Boulevarde was long and exciting with lots of cafes and eateries. and the tram was available behind the Kurhaus and it was easy to travel to the Hague and back. We loved it and recommend that everyone should stay there at least once.

Scheveningen or Den Haag is a insider tip for people, who want to travel to the Netherlands. It is less crowded then Amsterdam, but just as interesting. The royal family of the Netherlands has their palace there, so you can feel some royal spirit in the city center. Also the National Parlarment, Europol and the International Court of Justice are located in Den Haag.

Gorgeous sunsets and you can walk for miles along the beach.
Gorgeous sunsets and you can walk for miles along the beach. The water was warm and there was plenty of room to find a quiet spot. All of the restaurants had delicious food and a wide variety of menu and seating options. The town is lovely and it is very easy to get around. Just a short tram ride to Den Haag which is a beautiful city in and of itself.

The town itself is busy but somewhat spread out.
The town itself is busy but somewhat spread out. There are three main areas - the new area where most of the hotels and restaurants are, the old area including the shopping street of Keizerstraat which is handy for almost everything, including a wide choice of restaurants, and the harbour. All three are linked to the city centre of Den Haag by three tram routes - 1 and 9 from the new area, 1 from Keizerstraat and 11 from the harbour area at the other end of Keizerstraat. Between Scheveningen and Den Haag lie the Scheveningse Bosjes, an attractive wooded area perfect for country strolls. Nearby attractions include the International Court of Justice (Vredespaleis) (there is an interesting visitor centre but to visit the Court itself you have to book well in advance) reachable by tram 1, and the model village of Madurodam reachable by tram 9.
It's a basic and (relatively) cheap place to stay right on the coast. Small room, but incredibly well-designed to maximize space. The staff was super friendly (especially Richaand (sp?)) and despite being an economy hotel, they were willing to give us extra towels and pillows and anything else to make it as comfortable as possible.
Richaand (sp?) was super nice and helpful. He also broke up a fistfight between drunk people outside, and another time helped a woman who had fallen outside. So he was amazing inside and outside of the hotel.
The location was amazing, less than 10 minutes from Kurhaus tram stop and the Boulevard. Additionally, supermarkets and shops were available in less than 200m. The room was nicely furnished and although on the smaller side, functunal and clean. The key feature was super accessible and really easy to figure out. Lastly in the case you needed additional toiletries or towels, thet were readily available at the grand floor.
Great location, easy to find, shops and restaurants nearby. Also a short walk to the beach. Very friendly welcome, and an incredible breakfast delivered to our room! Everything was clean and comfortable, our room was very light and airy. Would definitely stay here again. You need to pay extra for parking, but we were happy with that because of the great location and value for money.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was nice with a nice view (not the seaside) out over the back garden. Bathroom was nice with a bath. Room was nice and comfortable. Locattion is absolutely splendid, at the end of the famous Boulevard, 5 min walk to the Pier and the Kurhaus. Enormous choice of restaurants, shopping and interesting places (Sealife Aquarium etc).
The hotel was located close to the beach and the sea, just a short 5-minute walk away, and about 5 minutes by car to the center of The Hague. The room was nicely furnished and clean. The price was definitely reasonable for this accommodation. The staff were friendly, presumably students. If I travel to The Hague again, I will definitely choose this hotel.
It is a beautiful apartment close to the beach. It is right across the road from a tram- and bus stop, making it very easy to reach the city centre and Centraal Station. The apartment was clean and beautifully decorated. We had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We appreciated that there was salt, sugar and coffee available in the apartment.
The hospitality was overwhelming.
An opulent breakfast was the perfect beginning in to the day.
The studio is best located - close to tram-stops, close to Scheveningen beach&pier and quite close to the city center of The Hague.
We had a relaxed 5-night-trip and nothing was missing.
This was my second stay at this hotel. Helpful staff and excellent location, only a 2 min walk to the Kurhaus tram stop which takes you to Den Haag Central. Location is also a 3 min walk to Scheveningen Beach. Room was clean with a good coffee machine and plentiful coffee capsules!
The hotel is located less than five minutes from the beach and boulevard, without being in a crowded area. Access by car is good, and the hotel has its own parking space.
The room was good for its purpose. There was even a mini-kitchen with microwave, though we did not use it.
It's a big hotel located at the beachfront.
There's an indoor pool on the top floor, which saved us in the very bad weather we had, and an outdoor pool.
A nice gym room with lots of machines (in two repurposed bedrooms in fact, but they were nice).
The hotel is really amazing and the staffs are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located in a really nice place and the view from my room was simply beautiful. There are many restaurants around, mainly close to the beach.
check in Key by mobile phone is great.
communication with the hotel owner is good
the location is great . it is near the beach and to the city center >
a bus station and tram station are close . less than 200 m
We chose this hotel as it is dog friendly and close to the dog beach. In the restaurant, certain tables were allocated for people with dogs at breakfast, and staff were very happy to accommodate dogs
Amazing sea-front hotel with beautiful ocean views from the restaurant and easy beach walks. Good breakfast offering, sufficient parking and good, comfortable rooms.
Really Characterful charming and quirky hotel. Great staff, friendly and helpful.
Terrific location on the beach. Close to trams and many excellent restaurants.
