Great chalet. Comfy and clean rooms, new and modern bathroom. The common room was great, big fire, TV, access to plenty of food and drink. Having parking on site is fantastic. Only a short stroll to pubs and restaurants. Great breakfast in the morning and Fab and Skip were excellent hosts! Definitely return.

Greg, the host, is a treasure trove of information about Thredbo. Loved speaking to him on a variety of topics. He made my stay even more pleasant.
The average price per night for a 3-star hotel in Thredbo this weekend is € 318.79 or, for a 4-star hotel, € 657.87. Looking for something even fancier? 5-star hotels in Thredbo for this weekend cost on average around € 1,269.89 per night (based on Booking.com prices).

Thredbo for the opening weekend of the ski season is a an exicitng, social and scenic mountain get away. Although no skiable snow, which will fall later in June. Enjoy the Ice sculpture and artist at work on a mural for auction, open air DJ. Easy to walk everywhere, shops cafe, ride up the scenic chairlift and gondola. Or have a ride on the Coaster, roller coaster.

Lovely to attend the Blues festival for my annual visit (not a snow lover) and enjoy the Village in summer. Enjoyed the Gondola for my first time and loved the ride, and that there is a venue at the top to eat or drink or listen to music.. If planning to eat out do take plentyof $$$ss as no cheaper options ecept the bakery and cafe on the Village square..

Thredbo is a great base for physical adventures.
Thredbo is a great base for physical adventures. However, it's very expensive. It stuns me that a golf course takes up so much of the small amount of space available, which limits accommodation and keeps prices high. Who goes to Thredbo to play golf?!

Closest ski field from Canberra. Easy to drive to.
Closest ski field from Canberra. Easy to drive to. Great for children. Snow was not great this season unfortunately, lift pass at $200/day is a bit pricey, lessons for adults were also high - used to be much cheaper pre-covid for lift and lesson. Ski school instructors, most were pretty good with kids - pleased with that.

Skiing in Australia will also be a bit of a risk.
Skiing in Australia will also be a bit of a risk. Massively expensive for potentially poor snow coverage.
Thredbo had such limited accessibility on one of our days everyone getting down the run then had to take off their ski/snowboard to hike through mud to the only available chairlift from main hub. Enormous queue. Saw people arrive and just turn around. There are limited options to get out of front valley when the wind shuts down the the chairlifts. This was end of July - peak season.
I recommend Perisher over Thredbo in terms of reliable access to snow.

Thredbo is easy to get too, and the drive there from either direction (especially from Khancoban) is Fantastic. There is a lot of chair rides, and a Gondala ride, if you want to just go for sight seeing, and the Board Walk on the top of the mountain is a "must-do" in the out of season times.
Thredbo is probably one of the best locations for mountain bike riding.
We stayed at the Bernti on our way to Canberra. It is a lovely old style hotel in the perfect location. Short walk to the centre of Thredbo. The room was lovely with a view of Mt. Kosciusko. We had dinner in the restaurant both nights and we had the best steak. Th upstairs dining is a lovely more intimate atmosphere. Staff are lovely and very accommodating. Make sure you get in early with your booking for dinner. It is a very popular place. Lovely cocktails. Highly recommend.
We visited this "ski" lodge in summer. The entire area is a "V" with the one side the road and parking for this stay, the bottom is the ski lift / commercial district, and the right side the top of the mountain. Easy to get your bags to the lodge. Many steps down to town and if you climb the moutain the walk back up the steps is strenuous.
The host is wonderful and cooks a tasty, filling breakfast. We enjoyed the other couples in sharing stories from around the world.
We were already in Thredbo when the Sydney lockdown happened. We were told to return to Sydney and cancel accommodation, ski lift and rental. The staff in Aneeki lodge were very helpful in providing guidance. When I asked for refund the staff were the most friendly and helpful despite the fact that I gave them the wrong credit card number and they had to do the work twice. Thank you Jenny and Steve and anyone who answered our many calls.
The managers are just the loveliest couple, such a perfect fit as people for the village of Thredbo. Their service and friendliness was as good as you get anywhere. When I asked to have my shower curtain washed, and it was not problem at all.
The views were great, continental breakfast was very nice, the lounge area and deck were good. Just positive relaxed vibes all around.
Great location, easy to get to the snow fields by bus or walking. Also a short distance from the village. National park and walking trails accessible from the back step of the apartment. Comfortable place with everything we needed (well stocked kitchen, extra bedding, large drying room, cot and high chair). Would suit a family with older kids or two couples best.
Excellent room and the front desk staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. The staff were very eager to please and nothing is too much trouble. The buffett breakfast was awesome :). Would highly recommend this hotel to friends and family who were looking for accommodation in this area.
Nice family friendly atmosphere for the hotel, rooms clean and simple. Well located for the main skiing hub. Check-in easy. The bathroom appeared to have been renovated recently and was well outfitted with good use of space.
The receptionist we had upon checking in was friendly, helpful and very accommodating when I had a sick child.
The family room is quite spacious. Great location. The only downside is the lack of parking available on site.
Loved the location, love the restaurant and bar area. And the staff are great. Also the Thredbo shuttle makes it really easy to go to the ski lifts with gear on. It comes every few minutes.
amazing location and well finished apartment. the furnishings are of good quality and the view from the balcony was stunning. It gave an easy walking access to the Thredbo village
Great location and great views. An attractive and comfortable apartment with wonderful lounge furniture to relax a the end of the day. The beds were comfortable.
Lovely food and atmosphere in the restaurant. Lovely people to serve and very friendly chef 👍 loved the dinner we had as a family. Evening was just perfect.
