Featuring a wellness centre and a restaurant, Hotel Portavescovo is set in Arabba, just 100 metres from the Sella Ronda ski lifts. Its rooms have wooden floors, and Wi-Fi is free throughout.
Great staff, good location, close to slopes, clean, good food.
Excellent place for a ski trip. Has plenty of slopes nearby and is directly on Sella Ronda and Grande Guerra for whole day skiing adventures.
You can easily get to Marmolada which has an amazing view of the Dolomites.
Local ski-pass is a bit pricy compared to Austria and France. This is partly offset by Dolomiti Super Ski pass which lets you access a huge number of locations and is a bargain if you're a good skier and can cover a lot of ground.
There is a point-based ski pass which is transferrable and is good for parents that need to babysit.

I'd almost rather not tell everyone how lovely it was - just in case everyone goes and it ends up spoiled!
It's a quiet and quite small village which is a great strength because it's family friendly, not overcrowded and still charming. Arraba is more difficult to get to than the larger villages of the Sella Ronda but very well located on the circuit for access to some other great ski areas including Grande Guerre circuit (beware taxi costs can add up for a family).
Our hotel was fab and the evening meals were superb. If you weren't so lucky with the evening meal, there aren't many other options - although I think a lot of the hotels do have a la carte restaurants.

Great location for skiers!
Great location for skiers! It has a direct connection to Marmolada, the best slopes (part of the Arabba-Marmolada domain), and direct access to both directions of the Sellaronda. Cables open a bit earlier than in other resorts. It has a smaller palette of restaurants and bars, but the ones existing are of good quality. As it is a smaller resort, there are few to no morning queues compared to the massive queues in Val Gardena, Ortisei or Corvara. I 100% recommend Arabba to anyone whose priority is skiing!

Great place to visit if you enjoy skiing, our favorite town on the Sella Ronda. Arabba is small enough to walk everywhere in ten minutes, has a decent grocery store, & good restaurants, Pizza at Pizzeria 7 Sass is stellar, Rifugio Burz is a treat for lunch.

I am positively surprised.
I am positively surprised. I was sure Arabba is fantastic for skiing, but now I found it also very attractive for summer activity as hiking. Although you need car for some trips, Arabba is a perfect starting point for many places in Sella and Marmolad group (we also enjoyed Puez from Arabba).
The staff ate very friendly. They are always ready to help you and give you all the information. The apartment was very clean and had everything you need for preparing a meal. You can also order fresh bread every day.
In the basement there is a ski room where your ski boots are heated during the night.
Arraba ski slopes are 2 min away and the hotel has a ski bus that drives nonstop. You can ski back, right to the hotel. Alta Badia ski slopes are 5 min away by car.
Very nice location, in the center of Arabba. SPA facilities enjoyable - although small area and you need to book in advance, the personnel is very helpful and the entire experience (sauna and swimming) was very nice. Reception and bar personnel very nice and helpful.
Underground parking was recommended by the reception personnel and was very helpful as we were traveling by motorcycle.
Fantastic family-run hotel located just next to the skilift Burz (very important information for skiers). Outstanding staff, very helpfull and polite. Clean, spatious enough room. Good breakfast, great restaurant Miky's Grill in the building. Generally, splendid place to explore Dolomites throughout the season.
Hotel staff was very corteous. Dinner included was a nice perk. Food was delicious!! Regional specialties!!! The view from our room (room no 5) was beautiful! Panoramic view of the Dolomites! Confortabile room for two! Close to great hikes Cinque Torri amd Cortina. Would come back again!!!
I choose this place to stay for the Dolomites bike day and it was a very convenient place to stay. The hotel was along the route so after the beautiful cycling trip in the Dolomites and completing the last pass I could relax in the hotel.
This hotel deserves 4* when I compare it with 4 others 3-4* hotels we used during our 10 days trip to Italy, beginning from sea side resorts. We wished we could stay longer and enjoy the hotel with lovely resort. 👌👍
Location is nice, the hotel has a great parking spot for motorcycles so that made me really happy knowing my vehicle was safe at night. Staff is very friendly. Great breakfast with a huge selection of food.
everything was ok, nice breakfast, place for the bikes in the ski storage room, when you go for the sella rounda MTB Tour you have to start in the next Town and can't use the chairlift right at the hotel!
Very nice place to stay, Arabba and Dolomites are amazing during the summer. Nice apartment with wooden furniture and very nice view from balcony. Washing machine well appreciated. Kind receptionist.
if you’re here to ski, the location does not get better than this. the restaurant downstairs was also wonderful, and everyone was so pleasant and helpful. highly recommend! would definitely return!
In addition to an incredible location with spectacular views of the dolomites, the room was clean and comfortable, the staff was excellent and personable and the included breakfast was great.
Great hospitality of all staff and very nice hotel with all you can need for the ski holidays. Food was great. Everything was perfect. I strongly recommend the hotel.
The hotel staff is very kind and considerate. Try very hard to respond and help every request.
The price was very good.
The hotel is 50-100 m' from ski lift.
Very conveniently located hotel with private parking, the staff is extremely friendly, exellent breakfast and reasonably priced pizza restaurant on premices.
nice, clean room with balcony close to the lifts. the breakfast was the best, such a large spread of different foods. heated ski storage room was great too.,
