This is a charming, carefully thought out boutique hotel. The manager did everything he possibly could to make me welcome. I was only in Weymouth for one night for a dinner, but the experience of this hotel made me want to find reasons to return.

The staff were friendly and welcoming and made us feel comfortable and relaxed from arrival. The hotel was clean and pleasant with nice communal spaces to while away some time over a drink. The view from our balcony was absolutely amazing, thank you. The hotel doors closed quietly and the hotel was well sound-proofed so there was no disturbance to sleep from inside the hotel. We were also pleasantly surprised by how quiet the road outside the hotel was enabling us to have the window open. Breakfast was very nice.

The reason I said the price didnt match my expectations was because it far exceeded them! The breakfast was amongst the best I've had when I've stayed in accommodation. The location is perfect a few hundred metres from the railway station and bus stops. Directly on the sea front with gorgeous views. Delightful, welcoming and such kind hosts and team. Make sure to visit the bar space, hopefully they will have a licence soon, it is lovely. The property is themed along the life of TE Lawrence and his family. And I was quite surprised to be faced by what I almost mistook as a man riding his motorbike towards me in the entrance, but a second glance reassured me that it was a print! Made me laugh at myself after a stressful week. Part of me doesn't want ro leave such a glowing review because I would love it to be a hidden gem. However it would be highly unfair to the venue and the team to be less than fair in my review! I want to thank Richard and Theresa for being lovely hosts.

worth visiting Weymouth, there is plenty things for family and kids. The beaches are lovely and have two distinguished sections pebbles and one with golden sand. beautiful views, walks and things to do as adults and for kids. Portland isn't far so one day spent there and had an amazing wood fired pizza which was we saw enroute someone selling from Pizza catering van.

The beach and harbour area lovely, the town not so nice.
The beach and harbour area lovely, the town not so nice. Too many teenage drunks and drug abusers on the streets at night. Very loud and noisy. It has good bus links to others places of interest. Most accommodation is b and b only so restaurants, cafes and bars overcrowded in evenings. More suitable for young families who like fairgrounds and amusement arcades.

There are many attractions close by. Parking is a problem in the town centre. It is best to choose accommodation with off street parking. Lodmoor with its park and attractions is excellent and great for dog owners. The town is family friendly with many entertainments.

Weymouth holds a special place in my heart as my Mum’s family all come from there and I spent a lot of my school holidays there. It has of course changed quite a lot but the beach is still fabulous for children and if you are happy to drive further afield there is Sandsfoot Cove which is a bit quieter than the main beach, and Portland with it’s exciting lighthouse to visit at the Bill. Abbotsbury Swannery is brilliant - beautiful and educational all at once and Monkey World just along the way is much fun. You can’t go wrong having a break in Weymouth.

We love Weymouth our travel time is about 90min away but we love to stay there when we can as there is so much to do. The beach is always clean and the dogs are allowed on a specific partof the beach in the summer. Good places to eat and fabulous old pubs to find out of town. The boot is a special little gem. The nightlife is good as there is always live music in the pubs. The harbour is a magical place to sit with a coffee or a beer and watch the bridge going up to let the boats go under. Also good shopping centre, a little run down in places but on the whole plenty of good cafes.
Maria is a wonderful host who keeps a spotless guesthouse and ensures breakfast is to your liking and is willing to give advice on what to do in and around Weymouth.
With parking at a premium in the area Maria ensures that with a little help from her guests everyone’s cars can be accommodated on site.
Situated at the west end of the promenade there are enjoyable strolls up to the town or along the beach to Bowleaze.
can’t say enough good things. Nick and Caroline were so lovely and so accommodating and kind. was my first solo trip in years and they made it feel like I was staying with family. the property is charming and comfortable and a great location for Weymouth. Nick gave me some great tips for local attractions and was a great help with parking too. Don’t hesitate!!!
The hotel is a beautiful building, faded British seaside glamour at its very finest. The location is exceptional, on the seafront and out the back overlooking the lovely town of Weymouth, beautiful chimneypots and sun setting over greening gables. The staff was friendly and the room well cared for.
Very friendly host. Lovely clean room with kettle and drinks. Excellent self service breakfast with fresh fruit, yoghurt, every kind of cereal, toast, jam, honey, marmalade.
The location was excellent on a very quiet street but a 15 minute walk into Weymouth.
Everything was very good, the only big problem was nothing to do with the Hotel, it was trying to find a parking space!! Complete nightmare. That has to be sorted out. If Weymouth wants tourists to come, please sort out either cheaper, or free parking.
The fairhaven hotel is in an excellent location for bars and cafe and right on the sea front. For us as a disabled couple the provision of a lift (very rare in Weymouth) made it perfect.Comfortable and clean with a small bar as well made it perfect.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Great breakfast. Service was beyond what you could really have expected. When I look back on Weymouth part of what I'll remember will be this hotel.A great example of why bed and breakfasts can be better than hotels.
This is a charming, carefully thought out boutique hotel. The manager did everything he possibly could to make me welcome. I was only in Weymouth for one night for a dinner, but the experience of this hotel made me want to find reasons to return.
On arrival the receptionist sorted me out with parking which was very close behind the hotel. Single room small as expected but had everything. Breakfast a simple tick sheet and service was very quick for a busy Sunday morning
the location was excellent and having an onsite bus service into weymouth proved very useful.the haven staff were very helpful and friendly.we ate in the restaurant and the food was to be recommended.
I liked the architecture and the history of the Hotel. The room was nice and big for three of us and I loved the location across from the ocean. The view was awesome. Also enjoyed the Quaintance.
Perfect location to explore Weymouth and the surrounding area. Hosts sent instruction to get keys, and also provided useful information on parking, and their facilties (WiFi, TV channels).
Kez and Rodney are just the best hosts and Penn House is a remarkable hotel on the Weymouth Seafront. the view from our room left us speechless.
We had the best time and we’ll be back.
The hotel is dreadful there is simply nothing to like about it. I would say the location is fine we wanted to be in Weymouth but that's all I can say is positive about it
Excellent location on seafront
Very courteous and efficient staff with a team headed by the owners Jonathan and Karen.
Clean and well maintained. Excellent breakfast.
Lovely staff, attention to details, comfortable bedding and great breakfast. This hotel was the highlight of our weekend in Weymouth! Couldn't recommend it more.
