Lovely staff, clean and comfortable rooms. The best breakfast 😋 and beautiful setting. The cafe next to the beach was part of Lunan House, and it had wonderful staff and good food. We had a very relaxed break and enjoyed our entire stay

Big bright and clean hotel room with comfy beds and furniture (armchairs, table, chest of drawers and clothing rack). Kettle, tea, coffee and milk in the room made our stay more enjoyable. No noise from pub. The staff is brilliant. And the breakfast is really good with a great variety of options.

The fantastic Abbey.
Always good for a fish supper
The bellrock music festival was on while I was there, so the atmosphere around the bars was really good.

Arbroath has interesting working harbour and 13th century ruined abbey where declaration of Arbroath was produced. Plenty of good fish and chip shops and excellent sea food restaurant on the harbour. Amazing Lunan beach great for walks 7 miles north of town amidst delightful countryside.

Arbroath is a lovely place & we enjoyed walks to the harbour & along the clifftops. Apartment is conveniently near the shops & Wotherspoons (The Corn Exchange) where we ate frequently. Having supermarkets nearby & a nice kitchen meant we could also just eat at home when we wanted. Great having a private parking space & we took the car to Montrose & Stonehaven.

We enjoyed walking the coastal path and using buses or train to return from destinations Auchmithie and Carnoustie. Wide choice of eateries. Note some close Monday Tuesday. High street could use attention from Council as could many but less prominent letting boards and use of windows to direct visitors to history podcasts online and show historical or current pictures of rich geography and heritage of town would make things look much better.

Lighthouse Museum worth a visit, Abbey was fenced off and...
Lighthouse Museum worth a visit, Abbey was fenced off and closed, streets are dirty, almost every Ladies toilet I visited was manky, especially ASDA. Shops all closed down, used Durex lying along the walk at seafront, very run down looking. Webster Theatre is lovely. Webmor Cafe next door to Theatre is lovely. Lunan Bay is lovely but local authority bins not emptied. Lovely museum in Montrose, very interesting, small but, we spent 2 hours, curator was interesting and helpful, lack of reference to Oil Industry so suggested for future. National Trust, House of Dun only has set guided tours to early afternoon, Montrose itself is run down also. Local authority needs to tidy up its towns and Scottish Government(the bigger cooncil) need to get their act together with regards to tourism as a future income for the economy!
The Lunan Bay Hotel is situated in a lovely shaped garden with lots of views on flowers spices and tremendous trees. Every detail seems to be well thought out. As well the former stately home, where we found our shelter. Modern installations in the room are well embedded inside a flair of gone centuries. We were amazed. We saw a lot of accommodations during our 5 weeks round trip through GB, but only few offered that good price-performance ratio. Not to forget the exceedingly accommodating staff.
The apartment is decorated / equipped to a very high standard. Location perfect in the centre of Arbroath. The bathroom is exceptional beautifully done with large bath and walk-in shower. kitchen well equipped. Living area more than adequate and Bedroom was very comfortable with large wardrobes and plenty of storage space. We will definitely be returning. The fact it is located above the Copper Oven and over the road to Coast bar & restaurant is an additional bonus ❤️
Quiet location, adjacent to a working farm, and only a few minutes walk from an extensive sandy beach. The room was classed as Basic - a good description, no desk or chairs, but all of the basics there. Comfy and cosy, and very, very clean. The bar and eating area would suit a variety of guests - quite informal, family friendly, walkers passing by etc. Had a lovely meal, perfectly cooked and presented, and a good sized portion. Staff amazing.
This should not be classified as a 2 star hotel. The room was extremely good - minimalist, which I prefer - the bathroom was spacious. Everything was clean and worked. The breakfast was superb, served very promptly and on time. I was in Arbroath for business and would rate this hotel very highly. You won't get much of a view from your room, but the sea and sea views are within 200 metres. Walk for heaven's sake.
What a breath of fresh air ! Great hosts, who exceeded expectations. The rooms catered for all, with a personal touch, complimentary drinks if required and a great cooked breakfast.
Every part of the hotel was spotless & smelling beautiful.
Access to the veranda, overlooking a stunning garden, peaceful & serene.
Will hopefully be returning soon, whole heartedly recommend a visit.
We stayed here for two nights and it was AMAZING! The owners Anita and Urs were so helpful and accommodating in every way especially because I'm disabled - the area is peaceful and the garden is relaxing and idyllic.
We will definitely stay here again and I would highly recommend a stay at the Brucefield Boutique B&B to everyone - Fantastic!
We were attending an event about 30 miles away and found that Arbroath was close enough yet still affordable. Upon arriving, we found that the town was much more interesting than anticipated and was in a beautiful area along the coast. So on our days off, we were able to explore the town and sightsee farther north.
The hideaway is perfect - comfy, clean and the cupboards were packed with lots of food for breakfast/snacks. It is set in a peaceful location, tucked away in a beautiful garden and right on the nature trail. We had breakfast outside every morning. Would recommend to anyone visiting Arbroath.
I thought it was perfectly situated great amenities nearby ,brilliant view of the abbey out of the back window”Arbroaths most famous landmark” also you walk straight into huge park and nature trail that goes for miles whats not to like it was so peaceful .would most definitely stay again .
The room was very big, clean and given towels(was surprised as took my own as don't normally get towels). Kettle and tea and coffee provided. I go arbroath every year with my 2 kids. This was different as the lodge gave loads of information on things to do.
Perfect location to visit the area.
The apartment is spacious and equipped with everything you need.
Jules, our host, has been incredibly welcoming and helpful with many great recommendations.
Lovely cosy, well equipped cottage in great location. Brilliant to be so close to access for the beach and the coast path to Arbroath. Easy to access lovely Lunan Bay too.
Room was clean and nicely decorated. also had a nice sitting area in room with coffee, tea and cookies. Staff was helpful and kind. Restaurant had good food.
Very spacious and comfortable flat in Arbroath town centre which is within easy walking distance of bus and train stations and local tourist attractions.
