Room exceeded our expectations for the price. Very reasonably priced hotel on the Camino route. Clean and comfortable. Excellent shower and hot water. Tea facility in the room, along with bottled water was great. Enjoyed local Portugese dinner at wine bar and restaurant. 3rd generation family run hotel and restaurant. Breakfast not available, though we were directed to a pleasant cafe nearby on the Camino route.
Communicated well via the app. Happy to receive luggage via Camino transfer service.

We were in quite large room with a kid. His bed was also prepared. Not as comfy as the main one, but ok for a several nights. We also had a balcony. Pleasant view on two sides. The bathroom was fine: we couldn't help to prevent small amounts of water leaking on the floor from the shower cabin, and occasionally toilet flush was leaking slightly. But that's for the hotel owners/staff to worry about. There was only one attached hanger in the second wardrobe, but the first one was enough for us. The room layout is interesting. We had a door which effectively separated our room in two sections.
Breakfast was fine. Very typical for this level of hotels. They offered some fruits also. We usually went for breakfast before 9 as the staff advises and didn't have any problems with finding free table or lack of food.
There is a place nearby where they offer "francesinha" with beer. Very popular with locals, worth a try, but nothing fancy. The beach is reachable by foot, but obviously not much to do there in early spring. The metro/tram line is also close, but we haven't figured how to pay and never used. Fish market is probably worth a visit too.
There are paid parking areas outside if can't find a place on the hotel parking which is quite small. We didn't have a car, used taxies which were affordable (in low season at least).

We had such a lovely stay here. Unfortunately, we could only stay one night and would have loved to be able to extend our stay. Although we had an early flight in the morning and would miss breakfast, Paula very kindly left a breakfast package for us in the room to eat when we got up! Every little attention to detail was brilliant and made us feel right at home

Good location, close to the public transportation. Staffs helpful.
My stay there was extremely comfortable. Every time I go to Porto, I like to stay in this hotel as I love Matosinhos.
The reception is 24hs.
Airy, bright, handy for the sea and for Porto. Excellent transport - metro and 500 bus round the coast with lovely views. Transport is cheap with an Andante card that you can use on both. Handy shops and restaurants.

Super family room with child bed in slightly separate wing for privacy. This hotel was ideally situated to attend the Porto U11 International Football Tournament. It was also so close to local transport links it would enable tours of old town and new, visit port outlets etc. all very easy to accomplish.

The port is an interesting look around and fish market, expect it to be a bit smelly though it’s a huge working port

We loved that we did not need to rent a car (Uber was always a few minutes away). There were many activities to do: Beach, water sports, Restaurants, Casa da Guitarra Fado show, Porto & Wine Tasting. The city is walkable and full of small interesting shops and buildings. I highly recommend Bacalhau in Muro dos Bacalhoeiros 153 - 155

I would not stay in the suites again but enjoyed the locality of the old town of Matosinhos and it’s very nice beach. There is a very moving sculpture on the beach about the tragic loss of the fishing fleet and many men from the town, during a terrible storm in the last century. There are many really good traditional restaurants with delicious traditional Portuguese food, away from the beach area. The public transport is good with Metro and bus connections to central Porto. There are many beautiful art nouveau and art deco era buildings in the town.
I loved this hotel. It's very handy for the Camino and not far from the beach..there are cafes and bars close by and it's by a metro station in Porto. Coming from the airport is very easy too, just one change. The hotel is very quaint, it's an old hotel but with updated modern features.
The staff are friendly and kind. I arrived early and left my bag at reception. The next day I left early for the airport and a takeout breakfast was left for me to eat.
Perfect location, apartment is very conveniently located, just a few steps away from the beach and close to shops and restaurants. Perfect to discover surfing or explore Matosinhos and Porto. 15 min walk from Parque da Cidade. The convenience of parking is priceless, particularly during a busy holiday season. Miguel and Kristina are very warm, welcoming, and flexible hosts, they made sure our stay was comfortable and we had everything we needed.
As I am vegan, the hosts went above and beyond my expectations so that my breakfast was perfect. Very welcoming and helpful with any question I had. Inserted in a residential area this small hotel is really a small gem near to everything in Matosinhos and the metro. I didn´t need it but if you come by car there's a huge parking lot right in front. Will stay again and recommend to anyone that is on a budget but likes great comfort and service!
The best part of our stay was how welcoming and helpful the host Sofia was to us. She cares a lot about guests as well as making the place feel as comfortable as possible. MyTrip Porto is in a perfect location - close to metro, numerous restaurants, cafes and shops. The room has everything and more, it's stylish, clean and the bathroom is huge. Many thanks for making our stay so pleasant.
Wonderful stay! The hotel is brand new and modern with great facilities, for example a gym. The staff is very professional and helpful. The location is great, with restaurants, supermarkets and the ocean just a few blocks away. The nearest metro station is around 5 walking minutes away. The room was very clean and spacious and has everything you need. I can highly recommend it.
The room has three beds and we like that one of the beds is separated from the other two, which is convenient for a family with a little kid.
The staff from the hotel are very helpful and kind.
The location is fantastic. It is close to everything. There is a park for kids to play if you walk 5 mins from the hotel. There are some big supermarkets and some restaurants nearby.
what you get for the money is always an important part of the overall evaluation (in my opinion). This is a no-frills simple Hotel with no particular fancy part or style, but it is pleasant, practical, clean and in a good location, with good breakfast, for a very, very good price (I paid little more than 50eur incl. breakfast in early March).
The room was nice and clean. Downstairs free unlimited beverages. Cab drive to airport only cost about €4 via one of the apps in Portugal.
There is nothing at all to do on short walking distance. But if you don't mind walking 30 minutes there's a very nice shopping mall (MAR shopping).
property location and value for money. Just a few minutes walk from the tram stop to go into Porto. On the edge of the seafood restaurant area. Although no parking at the hotel there is a car park a couple of minutes walk away. Can be booked on line, although not cheap.
For a near-airport hotel this was great - beds comfy, nice sheets, free coffee and tea, hot water, free parking, and the nicest staff I’ve ever encountered at a “value hotel”. totally worth the money. They offered to schedule our taxi for early morning departure!
Breakfast was superb - had everything we could have asked for.
Location was great for a short stay in Matosinhos, as we needed to catch a flight from the airport the following day.
Nuno (the host) was lovely and very helpful whenever we needed him.
Great location! The room as seen on the photos. Very clean. Water, tea, coffee available in the room. Very kind personnel. Restaurant and breakfast are available. I would choose the hotel again. Easy access with the code. 5 min to the beach.
Very kind and helpful owner, very hommy-feel like hotel. Breakfast was simple but nice and good quality. Depending on what your plans are in Porto, the location might be great (which was the case for us).
The staff was very helpful and friendly. The best location in Matosinhos, close to the tram station, from which you can get directly to the center of Porto. 10 minutes walk to the beach.
Sweet nice Hotel, the people where super friendly. The owner? took his time for recomendations, and they where fantastic, perfect, for checking out this side of Porto
Great value. Hotel is located a short walk from the beach (<10 minutes walking) and surrounded by great restaurants. Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable.
Great modern boutique hotel with lovely creative design.Friendly , professional , smiling staff.Central location close to the beach and great vegan restaurants.
