Beautiful hote, room's were very clean and comfortable fantastic helpful staff nothing was to much trouble. Well we're there for our daughter's wedding with a party of 16 people we would all like to say thank you we would recommend the hotel to anyone 🙂

When we arrived, the host placed us in Casa da Urze 3 as it was just me and my girlfriend and we did not need the extra bed that Casa da Urze 2 had. We were both still very happy with this! The house was incredibly cute and cosy - had a view over the mountains, a lovely fireplace that we lit every night (and which warmed up the house wonderfully and we had a fresh bucket of logs and pine cones to use every evening), we had a TV where we could pair up with my laptop and watch films, the bathroom was pretty and absolutely clean as well, the kitchen had everything we needed, the breakfast that was included was small but filling enough (and we could always ask for an extra bit of bread & etc), the lunch food cooked by the host was delicious, the hosts themselves were very nice and caring and always available, and to finish off, Talasnal is an absolute picturesque gem of a place to come spend a few days in, hiking around through the beautiful natural routes nearby and disconnecting from the busy routine we all feel overwhelmed by from time to time! I will absolutely love to come here again, thank you so much to Casa da Urze and its hosts for this wonderful experience, it was a pleasure!

Well what can I say. The village is wonderful. Such a unique experience to stay there. I stayed in Casa do Sol and it was perfect. Loved having the upstairs balcony. Had everything you needed for self catering but they do have a lovely cafe and Carole and Lily were so friendly. They were the two staff I saw every day I was there but everyone was so friendly. Breakfast was perfect every morning and Lily made the most amazing cakes each day I was there. The is also a small, gallery/shop (albeit quite limited) so if like me you used public transport to get there you do need to pick up provisions before you get there. Easy enough to do by public transport (I came from Porto so train, bus and taxi) so don't let not having a car put you off going!! The staff are happy to call the taxi company to arrange pick up as unless you speak Portuguese it can be a bit tricky to get a taxi. I was lucky enough to do the minature schist house building course with Rita and it was a perfect way to end my holiday .. and the house survived the trip back in my suitcase. Comfortable accommodation. Kitchen is well equipped. Lovely balcony with an amazing view!! Outdoor swimming pool was plus. Breakfast was very good and everyday with an effort to bring something new. Big star is Marisa, that throughout our stay was very attentive. A place to return for sure!

Maria was a lovely host and greeted us with homemade cake and drinks. Breakfast was delicious: cake, homemade jams, bread, coffee, juice, fresh fruits, eggs, cheese and ham. Beautiful property. We didn't realise there was no fridge in the room, but Maria was kind to lend us a bit of space in her fridge.
