The lake frontage with stunning views of the mountains and lake and choices of eateries catering for vegetarians
Good parking but roadworks made it difficult at times to get around
Would recommend the Big Fig for vegetarians and Charlie Brown for great crepes

A wholesome town just outside of Queenstown.
A wholesome town just outside of Queenstown. I could've stayed here weeks. It was a great location to be based at for Roy's Peak Summit, more hiking and days spent by the lake. Bonus activity was a dinner and movie night at Cinema Paradiso. A really lovely town with a very live-able atmosphere.

Wanaka itself is a lovely spot.
Wanaka itself is a lovely spot. It was lovely without being too much of a tourist trap. The art gallery I visited was very good, and the two local restaurants also good and reasonably priced. The staff at the Thai restaurant were especially friendly and helpful. I wish I had stayed long enough to drive out to a few places from Wanaka.
We love Wanaka. And this location was perfect for us to stay in a quiet place all to ourselves while we were in the town. It was very easy to check-in (John met us when we arrived on the property to hand over the keys and show us around the place) and there was ample parking and space for us. The property was bigger than anticipated. It is also just a quick drive from downtown Wanaka so it was very easy for us to drive into town and then off to hikes in the morning. Beautiful place, lovely stay.
A large apartment with a stunning bird’s eye panoramic view of Wānaka. Don’t be discouraged by its location away from the lake or the steep driveway, it is a gem. Noelene and Bill are delightful and their full English breakfast is delicious. It was a special treat to have salmon that Bill caught the previous day and Noelene’s homemade plums and peaches. We felt privileged to be invited into their home for a tour of there unique and beautiful home.
The rooms were very comfortable, modern and clean. They seem to use a central heating system rather than individual heaters, so the room was kept warm without becoming stuffy. The onsite restaurant, Amigos, is really handy to have and appeared popular with guests as well as non-guests. The location is excellent, walking distance to the lake front, with plenty of parking available behind the hotel. Would definitely stay here again.
The view was really incredible and the room was pretty comfortable. The food in the hotel restaurant was quite good. Nice bar, with good atmosphere. A short walk up the road to another little cafe and store was convenient and the food there was also very good. Access to trails and the beach was very close by and they had bikes we could use for free. Very nice. Staff was great.
- It was very luxurious and everything (subtle lighting, beds, cookware, crockery, toiletries, bathrobes, wooden hangers, etc) was of very high quality.
- The room was serviced everyday which was a pleasant surprise
- Matt (at the front desk) was extremely helpful and cheerful. He made our stay all the more memorable.
- Close to Wanaka town centre & sights
This was a great stay, easy to find, very well presented.
The house is all to yourself and the bedrooms are very spacious and the double bathroom is a huge win for any families.
5 minute drive into town and various lake entrances.
Facilities were great, comfortable furniture and feels like a home more than a hotel / accommodation.
This was a SPECTACULAR home away from home, close to town with magnificent views of the lake and snow capped mountains. It felt like a home not a hotel, and we were so comfortable for our stay in Wanaka. The beds were comfy, it was warm and had everything we needed.
The standard of this hotel was much higher than we expected. The room was immaculate, well furnished and spacious.
There was plenty of parking and only a 5 minutes drive from the lake front and the famous tree.
The guy in reception was friendly and helpful.
Spectacular view and enjoy every aspect of lake Hawea. Felt like we were in paradise.
Room is a two storey type and we were provided with 5 beds, so you can imagine how generous to its guests.
We rate this hotel as 11/10. Highly highly recommended :-) :-) :-)
Self contained cottage was cute, compact, cosy and clean.
Steve gave us a friendly welcome ably assisted by his canine companion, Beau. The friendly vibe was duplicated at the local hotel where we were greeted as if we were regulars.
My stay at your place was flawless! The cleanliness was top-notch, and the apartment was fully equipped with everything we needed. Your attention to detail and hospitality were outstanding. Only five minute drive to lake Wanaka.
Lovely, private apartment at the back of the host's property. Around 20-30mins walking distance to the city centre, which is a beautiful walk. The street is safe and quiet. We enjoyed our stay there and can highly recommend.
This property was excellent, so much better than any Motel or Hotel. Beautifully presented and exceptionally clean. Lovely home made breakfast, with lovely people. Also received the recipe for homemade bread.
Average 4 star hotel in convenient central location. Good for 1 night stay. Well priced. Fabulous view across lake to mountains from first floor Lake View room. Onsite restaurant and cafe.
good location 2 blocks back from the lake - this also meant it was a bit cheaper
had everything you'd expect from a self contained 1 brm apartment
friendly helpful staff member on reception
