A good ibis hotel- has its own bar and restaurant - although we didn't use either- you need a car if your staying more than one nigh as we did.
The hotel Au logis des Remparts sits in the heart of the medieval city of Saint-Emilion. It has a garden with an outdoor swimming pool, and air-conditioned accommodation.

The location was really exceptional, with restaurants, tourist attractions etc directly outside the hotel. The rooms are basic but the beds are very comfortable. We really didn't spend a lot of time in our rooms as we were out sight seeing, sampling wine and exceptional food around the town. A very decent 3 star.

This was just an incredible experience altogether; possibly our best hotel experience ever. Christophe and the staff was so sweet and accomodating and made us feel right at home. We were spoiled with delicious breakfasts, charming service and we were even brought fresh flowers on our last day! <3. The common areas had a self service bar and soup, snacks and coffee available at all hours. The patio was lovely to sit in and everything about the place was just so tranquil and effortlessly elegant and tasteful, from the floor tiles to the furniture to the plants in the back yard and patio. The room was super clean with comfy beds and all equipment we could ask for. We could have just moved in there to live!. Even smelled fantastic! Location is also superb, on a central, narrow street with limited traffic but right in the middle of everything St Emilion has to offer. It was just a fabulous few days. Wish we can come back soon and that it will be able to stay this amazing little gem that it truly is. Thank you so much!

We went for a wine tour so St-Emilion is the best base for the right bank. Food and wine options are better value for the connoisseur than in Bordeaux. Dozens of wineries surround the town and the terrain is flat on the vineyards - not in the town itself which seems to sit on a slope.

Saint-Emilion was the best stop on our trip thus far.
Saint-Emilion was the best stop on our trip thus far. We are staying in our 8th hotel right now & not one compares to the hospitality shown to us in st. Emilion. It is the most beautiful village. I will be back next year.

It is a beautiful town, with an interesting history. The food was excellent everywhere we ate. Take comfortable shoes as the cobblestones can be quite uneven at places. Take as many wine tastings as possible - the wine is soooo good. Don't miss out on the unique local macarons either. Do the historic tours and walks, it is all just so good for the soul.

The medieval town was compact, but not suitable for disabled visitors, as the streets were steep and there were many stairs. Roads were cobbled, so wheelchairs were difficult to navigate around. However, as our group were all able bodied it was not a problem for us.
As you would expect from a premier town, prices were fitting for the experience.
I would go again and stay in the town again, as day visitors did not have the luxury of the facilities behind the streets!
We ate in 3 restaurants, the best by far was Restaurant Le Tertre. Booking essential, I booked 3 months in advance to make sure we got a table!
We did the miniature train trip around the wineries in the location, excellent stop with wine tasting and celler visit.
It's a must visit town.

It's a magical city but be prepared to do some walking wearing flat shoes with non-slip soles due to the hilly and narrow roads being preserved as they were a gazillion years ago. There are many shops to peak the interests of many. Parking would be the most challenging event so keep the vehicle of choice the smaller the better.
The historic Catholic Church has 9AM services on Sunday's who welcome parishioners. Most businesses speak a fair amount of English if French is not your primary language. Credit cards are preferred.
The surrounding vineyards are immaculate and the streets are very clean and inviting!

Amazing restaurants book in advance if you wish a/c or one of the three Michelin star restaurants! Great walking around and inside the city. Entire city is beautiful. If you have spend a night or two.
Absolutely fantastic stay. Caroline and her daughter were fabulous hosts. They gave us fantastic recommendations on where to go and what to see, and assisted us by booking reservations, too. The apartment is super central right in the middle of everything. Everything is beautifully renovated, but maintains the old, rustic charm reflective of the town. There is also a cute patio out back, and cozy living space to relax and have morning coffee. Would absolutely recommend this hotel and Caroline to anyone coming to Saint-Émilion.
What an amazing stay we had. The hotel is one of the best we have ever experienced staying in France. The toom was spacious and spotless clean and represents incredible value for money given its location and amenities. To top it off our hostess Estelle was the kindest, friendliest and most welcoming host. Breakfast on the terrace was superb and the communal dining lead to many nights spent with other guests chatting over a bottle of wine. What an experience Estelle thank you so much.
Perfect place to stay in St Emilion. It’s clean and comfort. Private parking available. Take a 30 mins walk through the little paths between various vineyards to reach the old town for dinner was an enjoyable experience. The host recommended the Resturant ‘Le Tertre’ in the old town from which we had the best dinner in France so far. A little expensive but the taste of the dishes worth what you paid for and I believed that it would soon be starred by the Michelin.
First of all, this property is in the middle of a vineyard and absolutely amazing. We stayed in their treehouse which had stunning views. The lady that took care of us made this hotel. She was so kind, attentive, and treated us like we were her family. We will absolutely stay here again. The tour of the chateau and vineyards the next day was phenomenal and the lady who gave us the tour, was amazing. This hotel is a true gem in St. Emillion.
What a wonderful stay! Our hosts were so accommodating and answered so many if our questions even before we arrived with lots of recommendations for restaurants and activities. The hotel was amazing. Such a wonderful relaxing location and so convenient to walk thru the vineyards to a nearby wine tour. We couldn’t have asked for a better start to our holiday. The rooms were so well put together and they had thought of all you could need.
The hotel was close to St. Emilion and was part of a winery. The view overlooked the vineyards. We were given a recommendation for lunch.in St. Emilion. It was associated with the ownership of the winery and made for a pleasant lunch. Our stay was relaxing and quiet and quite luxurious after a week at a B&B in the Perigord. It also was away from the center of St. Emulsion at a time when the city was filled with many tourists.l
Excellent breakfast. Whilst all the staff were pleasant, welcoming & professional. we always looked forward to seeing Ruby at breakfast, with her unique personality & great service. Housekeeping were better than we had anywhere else. Many thanks for marking the final part of our European holiday with such a wonderful hotel & staff. Good staff can be hired, but only good management keep them this way.
Spent 2 nights, 2 rooms. The hotel is quite new and in very good condition.
Wonderful location (requires car). The atomosphere is lovely and the vineyards around are really great.
The rooms were clean, large, comfortable and air-conditioned.
Nice continental breakfast. We bought cheese and tomatoes ourself - for us that was a big upgrade to the breakfast.
We had an amazing stay at Sophie's apartment. She was very quick to answer any questions we had over messenger and provided very clear instructions on where to pick up the key on the day of check in. I would highly recommend this apartment if you are staying in Saint-Emilion or the surrounding area. We will be back for sure!
What a beautiful place to stay. In the centre of Saint-Emilion. Lovely room, nice and quiet and had all the facilities we could need and more. We walked to the accommodation from the train station and went to all the vineyards and attractions by foot. Blaze was a fantastic, knowledgeable and a friendly host.
The best place around Saint Emilion. The hotel is relatively new and nicely decorated, with comfy rooms and great amenities (SPA and outdoor pool). Very good place to stay if you are visiting the region for wines. On top of that, it has a nice winebar and restaurant. The staff is very helpful.
Enjoyed the city for a few days, with a great staff, a free wine tasting next door and recommendations for all local activities. The train into the city and nearby venues was simple as can be. Driving through the local vineyards was a special treat as well. Highly recommended.
The accommodation was the Highlight on our Bordeaux, St. Emilion and Medoc wine Trip.
We were warmly welcomed and had a lot of fun discovering the winery.
We enjoyed the big grill and the house owner’s wine.
We would definitely recommend this location to our Friends!
The place was unbelievable - felt we had the best accommodation in the town. Had everything we needed for a three night stay
Very helpful and thoughtful owner
The position is just perfect in a perfect town
La Maison du Clocher is in a perfect location in Saint-Emilion. Caroline and her daughter are wonderful attentive hosts who were welcoming and friendly. The room was spacious and included a small lounge area
Location is great, breakfast was great, entire facility is modern and up to date but the best thing is the amazing and caring staff. The management team really put together a great experience.
It was amazing to stay in a chateau in Bordeaux. we had use of the living room and kitchen. Breakfast was amazing. Will stay here again and highly recommend
Lovely hotel in the middle of everything. Great parking, dog friendly and wine shop with free tasting next door! Christopher was very welcoming super host.
