I loved Nice. It is a great city, easy to get around, has friendly people, gorgeous scenery, and excellent cycling. The town is cycle-friendly, with many bike paths and bike lanes. Lots of excellent restaurants, shops, and attractions.

Nice is a nice :) location - a mix of hills with sea. Nice old city, nice shopping locations. You need more than 1 day, but, I'd say not more than 3. I'd add to the popular recommendations the open market(near the sea) during the mornings - you can buy lot of interesting things + much cheaper - including also pastries.

Absolutely loved Nice! Beautiful coastal city with plethora of wonderful restaurants shops, and daily open market. Nice was our homebase for exploring the other towns as the public transport within Nice and to the other towns were unmatched. WE explored Nice on the first day and then went to Cannes and Antibes the 2nd day and Montecarlo on the 3rd day. Ideal place to look around Cote d'azur. I booked the train ticket on trainline (using my app) and did not have to wait in the queue or try to translate from french to english. This is a City Hotel, attractive and modern. Would definitely use again and happy to recommend.
