Pleasant town just off the main ski towns of Roccaraso and...
Pleasant town just off the main ski towns of Roccaraso and Rivisondoli, so it's a lot 'quieter' at busy town. Very lively in the summer too with loads of activities and outdoor sports. The old town is very pretty with its church perched on the side of the hill and the old square. Loads of great restaurants too including one of Italy's 3* (Reale)

A brilliant town to visit in the non ski season. Warm/hot days but cool nights. A well serviced town with amazing ammenities well beyond a town of this size. A fabulous water park for cooling off and a good range of trattorias and restaurants.climateworrierAustralia

The hotel interior was nicely designed. it even had a little museum. The rooms were ( we rented 3) simple, really clean and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was fine and Covid protocol was followed. The manager was very friendly, spoke excellent English. He also helped with everything , even planning our route and interesting stops to Puglia. We were so happy to meet him. We wished we had longer time there

The location is very quiet and safe. Our rooms were large, comfortable and clean. The host, Maria, is wonderful! Each morning, she prepared a great local Italian breakfast for us, shared some interesting stories, and gave us useful advice. She even drove us to a wonderful restaurant for lunch after we arrived and checked-in!

The facilty is located on the top of a mountain in the miidle of the village. It is an authentic clothes washing spot where the women of the village came to wash and exchange news. all has been wonderfully restored. In the winter this property also functions as a guest house for skiing. The service is a mix of southern hospitality and nothern efficiency. Comes highly recommended.JacquelineNetherlands

Choose to eat in restaurant, wish I had not! However, the issues were resolved in the morning with reception and they could not be more helpful and apologetic. Their chef cost them a poor review. Yes we’d go back because the reception staff were so good and listened.

He picked us up for Insernia bus station and also helped us figure out how to get from Castel di Sangro to our next destination. He provided us with restaurant recommendations and showed us how to use the Turkish steam shower - which my husband loved!
