For my American fellow travelers, this is NOT your typical crappy Quality Inn we are used to in the U.S. This is a much more elevated quality and experience that is easily comparable to higher end hotels. The room was spacious and clean, the bed was comfy, and the vibe at the hotel was very nice. And most importantly, the staff and the quality of services were superb. When I had to change the hotel shuttle schedule due to travel plan changes, they offered to pay for a taxi from the airport that got me to the property 3 hours before the previously scheduled shuttle (worth 31 euro). This gave me plenty of time to refresh at the room and eat dinner at their amazing property restaurant, where the food and service were equivalent of what you get at a gourmet restaurant. It's just smart business practice, since I ended up spending much more $$ on property for dinner and left the place a very satisfied customer. I will be coming back when my travels take me via Rome.

I've been to the Eternal City many times and still haven't seen everything. A glorious place to visit. Its very crowded and very noisy - sometimes as it has always been for the past 2000+ years.

Attenzione - beware of pickpockets, especially inside Termini-Metro station!
As a Muslim, other than eating at Kebab shops, and going vegetarian (but can eat egg, seafood, not alcohol), it would be great if I could enjoy the local food (pizza, pasta and such) without worrying whether those are prepared correctly. My experience was - those vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes/snacks were served on the same plate!

Museums, galleries and historical sites were very interesting. But most sites were much too crowded. Generally we find that the first week or two of April is less crowded in western Europe but this is not the case in Rome. We wonder if part of it is cruise ship crowds being bused in from the coast. Old city centers aren't designed for that amount of people.

Rome is a city that embodies history, culture, and incredible food, making it a must-visit destination for travelers. I recently had the pleasure of exploring the city's iconic landmarks, including the Vatican Basilica and the stunning Vatican Museums. The sheer grandeur of these places is breathtaking, and the art collections are unparalleled.
The Colosseum is another highlight—stepping inside feels like a journey back in time to the days of gladiators. Castel Sant'Angelo offers a unique perspective on the city's history and has amazing views from the top. The Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon are iconic spots that simply cannot be missed. For a touch of elegance, stroll through Villa Borghese's gardens and visit the art gallery within. Piazza Navona, with its vibrant atmosphere and beautiful fountains, is perfect for people-watching and soaking in the Roman charm.
Rome's food scene is a feast for the senses. From delicious pasta and pizza to creamy ice cream and delectable desserts, every meal was a delight. There are countless restaurants serving authentic Italian cuisine, making it easy to find a great meal no matter where you are.
I strongly recommend taking a guided tour to get the most out of your visit to the main attractions. It adds a lot of value, providing insights and stories that bring the history to life. Rome has so much to offer, and I'm already planning my next visit!

If you want to visit any tourist attractions, book them before you arrive in Rome. We tried to book things like the Coliseum and the Vatican the night before we wanted to go, and there were no tickets available.
The main way we got around the city was by walking...there is definitely lots to do and lots to see. There are a lot of tourists, so it can sometimes take a bit longer to get around.
We had a few recommendations for restaurants, which were great, but we also checked restaurants via google maps and the reviews that people had left...there are so many great dining options and you certainly won't go hungry while you're there!
This was my first trip to Italy. And straight to Rome. I really wanted a place to sleep and relax that would not spoil the impression of the trip. Therefore, I chose the hotel for a long time and very carefully. I chose Amica Roma Guest House and I was right! The hotel is conveniently located, within walking distance of the Vatican and the metro. Very cozy and comfortable room. Very tasty breakfasts! And a wonderful, sincere host Robert. Staying at this hotel only enhanced my wonderful feelings from a trip to magical Rome!
I loved everything about this place. Leaving the property and coming back felt like home. It was quiet yet not right in Rome but accessible to everything and I loved being in the Trastevere neighborhood. Out of the 2 weeks I stayed in Italy and I stayed in many places this was my favorite. Between the terrace, the location, the comfort of the bed and the blackout shades it was just an incredible stay. Fausta the owner is super friendly and accommodating. She even had some amazing desserts in the lounge room.
My recent visit to the Albergo del Senato was a repeat visit but for only one night layover as I was traveling south in Italy and it reinforced just what a wonderful small hotel Albergo del Senato really is and with an exceptional staff. My room was very reasonably priced and faced the piazza in front of the building with the Pantheon to the side and restaurants galore. Also, the breakfast was delicious. I can't think of any other hotel that I'd rather stay in Rome and I look forward to my next stay.
The bed was very spacious and very comfortable! I slept like a baby. It is also in the perfect location, right next to the station and has access to a lot of busses so it should be very easy to get around rome. The staff were amazing, specifically Jessica and Elvis, they made me feel very welcome. There’s a heatwave in italy so even after I have checked out, they made it very easy for me to rest in the hotel and even gave me towels to have a shower. Would definitely stay here again!!
1. Wonderful-wonderful-wonderful hotel! Anna is a very nice host! And a wonderful person!) I was in Rome for the first time and felt a little lost, but Anna's warm welcome made me feel at home and fall in love with Italy! The room was very clean, the room itself is large, bright and comfortable! Getting to the center is very convenient and fast! I will advise Anna's hotel to everyone and if I myself come to Rome again, I will only go to her! Thanks for the wonderful memories of Rome!
The hotel experience was excellent overall. Amazing staff, very friendly. The location was ideal. The room was superb. Very clean, spacious and brand new furniture. I loved it so much that I will always come back when in Rome. I do consider this the best hotel I’ve stayed in Italy, and overall excellent value for money too. Thank you so much TB Place Roma, it was great to stay with you and looking forward to the next time.
A fantastic little gem of a hotel in the historic area of Rome. Wonderful staff, super clean and quiet rooms, and very helpful with arranging transportation during our stay.
Otivm Rooftop bar was our hangout every evening to watch the sunset over Rome and listen to the bells chime. Walkable to all major sites while visiting Rome. We would give them 20 stars if we could. By far the nicest hotel during our trip to Italy.
The hotel is a very easy 15 minute walk from the central train station. The location is very good as you're on a main street in Rome and can get to many places easily. The room was just fine; clean; good shower; comfy bed. Breakfast had hard boiled eggs (seemingly common in Italy vs scrambled eggs), plus meats, cheeses and fruits. Decent. The room was shaded well at night so that it remained dark. Good place.
We celebrated our 25th Wedding anniversary in Rome and had the private wedding inside the Basilica of St Peter. And staying in this hotel is one of the highlights of our celebration. This is one of the best hotel we had stayed here in Italy and Giulia and the rest of the front office dept are very accommodating and helpful to all our needs. Highly recommended if you will stay in Rome. Grazie mille.
I stayed here only for a night to reach the airport quickly in the morning. Termini station is only a 3-minute walk away and you can easily travel somewhere else in Italy or go to Fiumicino airport.
Besides the bathroom that had a really bad smell, the place felt quite clean.
This is place is a decent option only for a short stay. I wouldn’t recommend this for a vacation in Rome.
- Breakfast was amazing. Lots of variety, including pastries, eggs and bacon, cold cuts, buns, cereal and fruit. The staff can give you cappuccinos if you ask (as they aren't advertised).
- Elevator was spacious. Most of the hotels in Italy have smaller elevators so it was nice to fit all our luggages at once.
- Beds were comfortable and the bathroom was big.
Our room at Hotel Nazionale was by far the biggest and nicest of our stays in Italy. The rooms were large and very comfortable. I especially enjoyed the large, deep bathtub. The bed was also the most comfortable of our trip. The hotel staff was very nice, and teh location is great. You're within walking distance of all of the major sites in Rome.
Excellent stay in Rome! Pay at the property when check in, pay exactly the amount stated in Booking.com. No additional city hotel, tourist tax or whatever taxes has to be paid. We paid around 4 to 8 Euro per night per person at other hotel or B&B in Italy.
Overall, a pleasant stay in Gins B&B and definitely worth it!
Excellant location, quite, safe, standard double room, Good Housekeeping,
Address on our booking confirmation was Via Varese 5, Central Station, 00185 Rome, Italy but we saw mail on the evening of check in that our hotel is in another building another 400yards
this is the best hotel we stayed in Italy. it is new, but everything is perfect: rooms are big and stylish, staff is very helpful, the hotel is perfect in all details. and it is located in the best part of Rome!
will definitely stay here again.
Hotel Cellini embraces the charm of the old city of Rome to perfection. Laura from reception and the entire staff were wonderful. We ended our Italy adventure with a perfect room, a perfect location and with no stress. Thank you Hotel Cellini.
Fantastic, friendly and polite front desk staff. If it weren't for them, the stay would have been miserable. The location is also great. The movie atmosphere of the hotel is quite ok but you lose the atmosphere of Italy and Rome with this.
Location was Good to walk Rome Attractions. Very very Cute Hotel and Felt very Personable to us. The Staff was So Friendly and we Would recommend this Spot for any Couples looking for a True Italy Experience.
The room was very big. Breakfast perfect in comparison to other hotels we stayed in Italy. I need to say that place is a very good choice in Rome! Nothing bad happened there. The cleaness was extremely good.
The warmth of the staff was exceptional.
The location of the hotel just could not be better for those wanting to be at the centre of Rome, Italy and the Universe.
